I loved your art work and can't understand why you don't paint for a living you are an amazing artist. Pam.

A.:
Hi Pam. Thank you for the kind words.

Yes, I still go in regularly and do things on the walls of the Prayer Room. And every year I paint over them, making the walls white again (or rather, ivory).

Once in a while I do something on canvass or something. When I do I give the picture away. Sometimes when I do that I find a check in my church mailbox. I drop that in the offering or spend it depending on my situation.

There has been a couple of times when someone has asked me to do something in particular, and I do it, more as a favor. When it comes to the price, I tell them to give me whatever they like.

It just doesn't feel like the sort of thing I am interested in turning into an income.

Secretly, I would like to do a prayer for someone like those in the prayer room that would be a particular blessing to them... An image that meant something to them, created out of prayers.Curious Servanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11564580536911743558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276556180182068972.post-73090673065332866282008-08-20T18:17:00.000-07:002008-08-20T18:17:00.000-07:00I'm hear and I hear you.SSI'm hear and I hear you.
SSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276556180182068972.post-6159465582320019282008-08-20T17:34:00.000-07:002008-08-20T17:34:00.000-07:00letting you know my arm is around you as you go th...letting you know my arm is around you as you go through thisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276556180182068972.post-55622779381952279052008-08-20T12:04:00.000-07:002008-08-20T12:04:00.000-07:00Someday you will be on the other side and day by d...Someday you will be on the other side and day by day it will get better.
I am not as poetic as some are in my comments but I do know from experience raising 3 very small children at the time that God is with you in every step. Never understood the story--why God would assent to such a trial--but the uselessness of human explanations in the face of tragedy has always made sense to me. We ask these questions and God answers with something that isn't really all that comforting. At least, I don't understand why anyone would find it comforting!Bad Alicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04540577363786819292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276556180182068972.post-22552891127320364832008-08-20T03:13:00.000-07:002008-08-20T03:13:00.000-07:00You are not alone, most of us are living lives of ...You are not alone, most of us are living lives of silent desperation.

But no matter vot, underneath you are the everlasing arms.

Everything vas taken avay from Job, stripped clean, but the Lord restored it all back.

He vill bring you out.Amritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04887884977787790642noreply@blogger.com
