What We Did Today

If you read the previous post, you'll understand why we decided to do this today... the day after a particularly difficult day for my sons.

That is so tender. What a lovely tribute to your puppy love.

I was sorry to hear about your sad loss.

We had to put one of our two down this Spring. My son, then 17, said he wanted to come with me then later that he didn't. I let him know either was fine and that he should do what he knew he needed to do. Truthfully I felt it would he healthy and healing for him to come but at that age they need to begin to make their own calls. As I was leaving with our dear dog he said, Hang on dad. I'm coming.

We cried together as watched her go. It was good to be together on many levels.

The peace of Christ be with you.

That is very sweet, Will. A beautiful reminder for you whenever you're outside, whenever you come home. And so good for the boys to be involved with it.

Thanks.

They miss the dog, and I wanted to help them mark him some how...

"Hey guys... let's go to the farm & Garden store and buy some flower bulbs, or a plant or something to remember Rocky by."

When I saw the weather vane...

I wish she saw in them what I see...

I do too.

God sees even more than you see in them!

This is I really dread.Iam so attatched to my Sheeba that sometimes I get nightmares of her dying. My Jimmy dies last year and I cry for him.

Sheeba is 7 years and I get nervous the moment she is not looking too good.

The weather wane looks so good.

Getting the weather vane and dog statue is GREAT idea- it helps your boys and you with the loss.

Blessings

A good way to honor Rocky! When our dog died we planted a tree in his honor in the front yard.....The kids are grown now, but they still comment on it. Good Choice!
